Freshers Party 2024 at Rawat College: A Celebration of Culture and New Beginnings
On 21st September 2024, Rawat College, came alive with the vibrant energy of its new students during the much-anticipated event, "Sanskriti-2024", the Freshers Party. This event was a grand celebration aimed at welcoming the fresh batch of students into the Rawat College family and setting the stage for their academic and personal growth over the coming years. With an impressive guest list and spectacular performances, the day was a memorable blend of tradition, culture, and modernity.
The event kicked off with a ceremonial lamp lighting in front of Maa Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the beginning of a new journey filled with learning. The honors were done by Group Chairman Mr. B.S. Rawat, Nirmala Rawat, and the chief guest of the event, Mr. Ravi Prakash Maherda, Director General of Anti-Corruption. Alongside them, other prominent personalities such as Mr. Mohan Samaria (Youth Leader, BJP), Mr. Pawan Sharma, Dr. T.C. Pathak, Mr. Raju Jijwad, Mr. Madhusudan Dadhich, and Mr. C.L. Verma graced the occasion with their presence, elevating the spirit of the event.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Maherda shared insightful thoughts on leadership, integrity, and the importance of cultural heritage in shaping one’s future. He motivated the young minds to embrace their college life with passion and purpose, making the most of the opportunities that lie ahead.

As the name "Sanskriti" suggests, the theme of the event revolved around Indian culture. The highlight of the day was the presentation of Akhand Bharat—a beautiful and energetic series of dance performances that showcased the rich diversity of India. The students left the audience spellbound with their interpretations of different cultural dance forms:
Bhangra: The lively and vigorous Punjabi folk dance set the stage on fire with its infectious energy.
Rajasthani Dance: With colorful costumes and graceful moves, the performance depicted the royal charm and deep-rooted traditions of Rajasthan.
Garhwali Dance: Representing the mountain culture of Uttarakhand, this dance brought the freshness of the Himalayas to the event.
Bollywood Theme Dance: The contemporary Bollywood-style performance tied the cultural display to the modern era, connecting tradition with today’s pop culture.
These dance performances were a reflection of India’s cultural richness and unity in diversity, which is also a core ethos of Rawat College.
The Ramp Walk: Where Elegance Meets Confidence
Adding a touch of glamour and fashion to the event, the ramp walk by the students was another much-awaited segment of the evening. The participants walked the ramp with grace, confidence, and poise, showcasing their unique styles and personalities. After an intense competition, Prashant Bairodia was crowned Mr. Fresher, while Prachi Sharma and Vipanshi Sharma jointly earned the title of Ms. Fresher.
The excitement and joy of being recognized among hundreds of students was evident on their faces. These titles symbolize not only the students' charisma but also their ability to shine as future leaders of the college.
The Guidance of Leaders
Throughout the program, the esteemed leaders of the Rawat Group of Institutions played a crucial role in inspiring and motivating the new students. Group Director Mr. Hemendra Singh Rawat, Mr. Narendra Singh Rawat, and Dr. Kalpana Rawat actively participated, offering their blessings to the students. They emphasized the importance of academic excellence, discipline, and personal growth, encouraging the freshers to use their college years to explore their potential and achieve greatness.

Mrs. Preeti Saxena and Mrs. Suchitra Rathore took on the responsibility of managing the stage, ensuring the program flowed smoothly from one segment to the next. Their flawless coordination made the entire event a seamless experience for both the participants and the audience.
The Principal of Rawat College, Dr. Neetu Jaiman, along with Dr. Sheela Devi and Mr. Bhupendra Jain, extended their heartfelt thanks to the students, faculty, and guests who contributed to the success of Sanskriti-2024.
